Baku Days: Azerbaijan the Beautiful…

Azerbaijan. Land of colours. Land of fire: Promotional image

I’m a little concerned that recently, a lot of negative press about Azerbaijan has emerged in the media. Much of this, since the country won Eurovision a few days ago.

Yes, there are issues to be addressed. Yes, there is an unresolved conflict with Armenia. Yes, there are environmental concerns regarding historic oil pollution but in the name of balance and fair-play, I’m posting this link to remind all of you that Azerbaijan is also a beautiful country, full of diversity and interest.

The video was produced as part of Azerbaijan’s “Year of Tourism-2011” promotional package.

Personally, I think it would be very good for both Azerbaijan and Eurovision-land for as many people as possible to visit the country in 2012.

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts and comments…
